Dear Codeabbey admin, I'd like to thank you for your unvaluable work with this site. I'm 47 and I'm an electronic engineer with a big regret. What you daily have to do in your job is often so stupid that somtimes I ask to myself why I had to study so hardy and so long and for so many time. That's why I really like your site. I found in your site the pleasure to use my brain again. Thank you very much.

P.S. I read about the problem you are going to have recently but I prefer to wait their solution rather then lose the possibility to enjoy myself using my brain. So again TKS!

Hi Friend!

Regretfully I don't know how to address you by name :)

It is very curious - I sometimes mention it - but I also started my IT career as electronic engineer!

Though I soon found there is not that many projects in the field and slowly migrated to pure programming.

If it may console you, software development is also often quite stupid. E.g. now I work in a project which creates recommender blocks on internaltional internet-shop of various stuff, mainly clothes and women's trinkets... As usually it is paid well and sometimes there are less or more interesting tasks. But as usually I don't understand how this activity may improve the future in global sense :)

As for electronics - I have reserved it as a hobby - and now I mainly teach it in school. Starting from this year I'm trying to build hand-made electric guitars with my pupils. Not exactly great success - but at least it is funny :)

Hi Rodion. You're right. Sorry! My name is Carlo Traversa. I also jumped in the world of pure programming because there are not many projects in electronic. It's sad but this is the real world :( It seems to me that more that 80% of development activities today turn around the web. But in terms of "brain commitment" is not so hard. Maybe the right term would be boring. To develop interesting algorithm seems an activity relegated to research or university. But if these activities are paid well we will conform it. Isn't it true? :) The most important thing is to have the possibility to take care of our family and sons. While you enjoy with electronic in building hand-made electric guitars with your pupils, in my case it is related to raspberry and arduino. Sometimes for useful things sometimes as recently for MAME arcade to please my sons. Thanks again.
