Hello, Rodion and CodeAbbey's community. My name is Vladimir Skvortsov, and I'm proud I've solved 125 tasks by my own. It took a lot of time but it was fun! And it caused improving my Ruby programming skills. So, Rodion, if you decide to come back and give people their sertificates, I will be glad to recive my one! Anyway, thank you!!!

Vladimir, Hi!

Thanks for the question, though it is a bit complicated :)

You know that certification process was postponed due to certain troubles (well, cheating - though I coundn't understand why anyone want take efforts to cheat to gain "certificate" which gives no privilege, just fun). The top of my astonishment was when I've found a person who copied hundred of solutions from his friend thoughtfully changing identifiers in the code...

Additionally few fellows posted sets of solutions in internet. Very clever. :)

Few days ago I've found some well-forgotten feature which may be helpful in such cases. It may take some more times to investigate whether it is reliable and if everything is ok, I think I'll resume certification, supposedly in November. (The precise idea of this background-check I'm afraid should be secret).

However one of the changes would be that new certificates will require Stargazer rank (i.e. 145+ problems). Probably I will add them retrospectively to users holding this rank (whom I can identify enough to put their names on).

This strategy may yet change later, say to grant certificates when user reaches Top-100 (now it's almost equal to stargazer rank) - though this approach needs to be somewhat smarter...

Oh, okey. That's good.

I think, certificates are important. First, it's like a prize for person diligences. Some kind of motivation, wich always nessecary. Second, it's not just for fun. If candidate show me his CodeAbbey's certificate on interview, he will earn a big plus. Because I know, certificate has being granted not for everyone, but only hardworking and creative users.

I'm glad you've recollected and decided to renew the CodeAbbey project. And I'll be watching for its evolution with pleasure. Thanks!

Vladimir, Hi! Really glad to hear from you again!!!

Yep, you are certified stargazer now. Here is the certificate at your profile - and my congratulations! Please tell if anything is incorrect etc...

Ironically, few months ago I changed my "normal" job again - and now my formal boss is leading Ruby dev in company (though I don't use Ruby except for tests). I joked I may need to learn it one day - I guess, I'll refer to your solutions if it comes to that :)))

Thanks for your patience, take care - and my best wishes!

PS. About solutions, be my guest! I would be glad if I help.
