Dear Friends and Colleagues!

Soon many of us will celebrate Holy Christmas and few days later New Year. In several countries Christmas will be celebrated a week after New Year. And there are also people who will meet New Year even month later. So most of us are going to enjoy length and happy weekends, though probably shifted by different days. :)

I'm thankful to all of you for being with CodeAbbey. We are still young and Abbey has just about 3000 users, however I hope we can do better in the 2015 and gather at least twice more.
I also hope I'll be able to create more problems (to reach at least 300) and hope they would be interesting enough.

So congratulations to all of you. Let your dreams and wishes come true. Let your skills bloom and bring forth expected fruits. Let you and your people be happy! Happy coding! :)

Image below is from some old postcard I believe. Here you see Grandfather Frost at the terminal, with display showing something like "Happy New Year". Note punched tape which was used to store programs instead of hard disks or flash drives!

Grandfather Frost is our incarnation of Santa-Claus. His title in Russian is spelled like Ded Moroz and pronounced like "Dead Morose", but really he is very kind so you should not be afraid... :)

Merry Christmas to you also, my friend, and to all other Code Abbey programmers! I hope you all enjoy your holiday! For some of you, including Rodion I think, Christmas is over by now, but for me and others it is just getting started!

Happy Holidays,
Christopher P. Matthews

Haha, no, for us Christmas is yet to come. Russian Orthodox Church uses a kind of outdated Julian calendar so we celebrate it on January 7 :)

Thanks for your congrats - always glad to see you!
