Hi there :)
My name is Joachim, I am 19 years old and live in Austria. I've graduated from school a year ago and currently doing my community service.. And.. don't understand that wrong. I'm bored all the time and that is why I've started my journey through this site. Secondly, another reason is that soon I will begin to study math. I really wanna become a mathematician and I'm ready to work hard in order to achieve this goal. I'm thankful for any tip you have left for a newcomer.
My other hobbies are running, writing and meet friends. Please forgive my clumsy English xD

Thanks for your intorduction. I was quite curious to learn what is "community service".
I think it's ok to become bored sometimes. I got bored with almost every new work after few months (perhaps due to this I started this site few years ago - and learned a bit about site-making).
Are you going to study math in University? It sounds cool, though I'm prophane in this field. I like math, but math doesn't like me :)
Very interesting to see you are writing in Jilia (right?) - was it taught in school?

You are "mature" newcomer, I dare to say. Probably if you are about math, you will choose data science and machine learning field (unless you prefer to stay "pure matematician" e.g. like Andrew Wiles) - you may want to check some online courses in this direction!

Absolutely. New things are always appealing to us humans and that probably is our greatest strength. Don't you think so? ^^

Yeah. I want to study plain math at first and then (recently found out on a job expo) I do data science as my master xD

In school we mostly had C and Java. Julia is "self-taught" and well.. there's a lot left to learn I guess (about the language and math of course)
