Arithmetic Progressions - A Proposed New Problem

Dear Clive, thank you for the new puzzle! I started scratching my head thinking whether I remember some subsequence-related algorithm which could help me to solve it... :)

Meanwhile it seems we now have problems titled "Arithmetic Progression" and "Arithmetic Progressions". If this may be confusing, any suggestions are welcome to altering the words. (but probably it's ok)
