Well, here I am as well. Feels like I have climbed a mountain. Good thing that this is not a competitive programming site because I took my sweet time getting here. Having time constraints would not have helped, on the contrary, I enjoyed that, starting from zero, I had the time to research new topics and concepts, especially for the harder problems. Thanks for the journey so far. I can see a few peaks I'd like to climb still, hoping they're not too steep :) Perhaps you'd think about introducing a certificate for 200 problems, to keep us motivated?

Konstantinos, Хаiрете!

It's hard to express how pleased I am, because for some time I thought you will decide it too difficult to progress with your chosen language. Obviously I was mistaken and it is great "proof-by-practice" that Matematica is well suitable here. You know I tried it a bit but my feeling was it is bit hard to me :)

Really it is of great importance (both for me and for community I think) when people reach high ranks here with non-mainstream language - regretfully it happens rarely!

Your certificate is at your profile, thanks for your persistence!

Well, technically it is just about inventing new picture and adding one or two lines to database, but I had conflicting feelings about this. We found that some people try every way up to cheating to reach certificate (which is still queer as certificates are nothing more than funny pictures not recognized by anyone). I don't blame them (usually these are students, young people) - though it is annoying of course. On the other hand those who progress further mainly do this out of personal fun. So they look like "elite" and I'm not sure we want to motivate "certificate hunters" to this higher division :)

On the other hand you are right that some distinction is important for such people. I think we can change "Ranking" page: removing pagination from there and showing just, say, top-100 or top-50. So the motivation would be to get to ranking page... Probably it will be good also to put some record to profile about this event automatically...

Rodion should really implement scrolling bars on the profile page ;)

Yep, thanks for hint! I've added it now though it doesn't look extremely elegant. Perhaps I should once improve the whole layout of this page :)

We found that some people try every way up to cheating to reach the certificate.

Why do you think that there are some people who cheat? Do you have any proofs?

I like the idea itself with certificate, but I'm not sure I should ask it for myself, because I don't feel like I deserve it.

So, what is the point for rushing certificate if you know you don't deserve it? This looks strange...

And even if we don't talk about cheating reasons, the question remains how one can cheat at all?

If you talk about students and they're from the same university group and are copying down each other's solutions - this is not cheating I think, more like team work. Most people, like me, are teamless (unfortunately) and don't have that option. So this is not a big problem.

Another possible approach is looking for solutions in internet. I found there are few GitHub profiles with ready solutions for Code Abbey problems, but they are few (so you definitely know them all and can compare solutions) and no one contains 145 solutions or more. Again, no problem.

Oh, and I almost forgot about the author of this topic. Konstantinos, it it very nice to see you did it and overcome so many difficult tasks. Congratulations on receiving certificate! And keep going (if you have time, of course).

Thanks for response, administrator. I checked user you mentioned in private message and his request really looks suspicious.

That is sad that cheating really can take place :(.

Thanks for the certificate! And for the comments everyone! Does this mean that now I can attend congregation of the inner sanctum? :D

Hey, if johnnycake can do it with BASIC of all languages (qb64 if memory serves), I think I'm allright!

So the motivation would be to get to ranking page

I think that's motivation enough. You've repeatedly said that you think the certificates are nothing really, and I would agree. It is mostly a distant and difficult goal (if you don't cheat, that is). Don't underestimate however the role of the "enlightment" system or the ranking, because people love nothing more than a pat to the back (to feast on dopamine via a small victory, if you prefer). It's human nature, and it has worked wonders for sites like this, or codecademy or for console game achievements.

mooninvader, I loved team Ico's games, what can I say? (Yes, even that last one...)
