make more problems for beginners

Ivan, Hi! Thanks for your kind words, and for spending some time to try these problems.

There are quite enough beginner-level tasks, I think - perhaps so many that it is bit dull to solve them. But you are right, probably we need to refresh tags for many of them lack beginners mark. Still current list is here:

Small update on this - yesterday tried to refine "Volumes" idea. Initial problem with it arose due to too many categories, somewhat intersecting. It's original form still could be found on the site along with its more "historical" look.

Volumes were changed to "tags" years ago (I remember though some colleagues said it's change to worse).

Now 5 of tags are picked as "volumes" and tags refreshed so every task falls into exactly some single volume. Buttons for quick filtering now are above task list:

Simple  -  Implementation  -  Popular Algorithms  -  Puzzles  -  Special

And page for Volumes in menu above leads to this list with short descriptions.

There are roughly equal amount of tasks (close to 50) in every volume.

Any suggestions are welcome, though I feel few large categories should work better than many small. For smaller other tags shall work as always.

I see that this thread is old but... @Ivan Vanko - codingbat.com is a decent collection of beginner problems.
