Hi, my name is Alena, and I am working on getting my first QA/software testing job at the young age of 37 :) (I am currently working in educational consulting - not a very related field, except for some soft skills). So far I don't have much luck, but I keep trying and remain reasonably optimistic.
CodeAbbey helps me learn Python (and a couple of other useful things, like SQL and web apps), and I really enjoy working on these problems. Feels good to put my brain to work and eventually find a solution, sometimes after several fails.
When I just started, 85 problems seemed like such a long journey, but here I am! Many thanks to Rodion for building and maintaining such a useful platform, for many a helpful tips and hints and for believing in me!
Alena, Hi!
Yep, it seems like a long way as your first problems were submitted back in 2022! Congratulations, and thanks
for your patience and perseverance. It looks like among the latest problems you sometimes picked not the most
"low hanging fruits" thus your Fanatic Girl-Coder Diploma has "with
distinction" note (which usually doesn't happen with diplomas of that type).
Thanks for all your kind words. Best wishes about reaching your QA-job goal! If/when this happen, feel free to come back to tell your story one day - it should be encouraging for others :)
UPD: date updated to PST timezone upon your request.
