What is the difference between each of these and what is their purpose?

The only attribute which appears to have any affect on the user experience is rank as this unlocks features such as voting. However, the others seem to be very closely linked to rank yet apparently serve no purpose. Can this be explained?

Yes, thanks for posting this link!!!

shortly speaking:

  • rank depends only on how many problems you have solved;
  • enlightenment is unrelated metric - regard it as the sum of "difficulties" of all solved problems;
  • blessing for the task is its "difficulty" (mentioned above), depending on how many people have solved this task.

I.e. rank tells you how close you to getting the certificate for example, while enlightenment is used for sorting ranking table. So that people who solved fewer tasks, but more complicated ones can appear higher in this table. Typical example is divyanshu.sharma.ece12 you may see him on the first page of the ranking though he solved far less problems compared to his "neighbors".
